Christmas Wish Foundation

The Rotary Club of Aspen helped initiate the Christmas Wish Foundation in 1984. Founder Barbara Bakios-Wickes approached the Rotary Club with the idea and asked for seed money and member support. Since its inception, almost all past and present Board Members got involved with the Foundation through Rotary. 

 

Christmas Wish Foundation is celebrating 40 years this 24-25 season! Over the last 40 years the Foundation has served over 6000 people helping with over 8000 wishes ranging from paying for braces and eyewear to buying new snow tires to converting a trailer from an uninhabitable space into a healthy, warm home. 

 

The Christmas Wish Foundation actively assists hard-working people in the Roaring Fork Valley who find themselves in need due to illness, divorce or loss of employment. We accept wishes from trusted, social service organizations that have vetted the request and see it as a request for a hand up, not a hand out.
