2021 Event - Photos and Video

The Rotary Club of Aspen created an alternative this year to the traditional duck race on the Roaring Fork River. We staged a “duck-out-of-water” race with 200 yellow balls rolling down Aspen Highlands Thunderbowl ski run instead of rubber ducks floating down the Roaring Fork River!

Just like previous Ducky Derbies, this was a family-friendly event which included live music, youth group games and activities, silent auction, and food/drink from the Highlands Alehouse.

This was the first time in its 29-year history that the traditional Ducky Derby did not take place. We hope to be back in the Roaring Fork River in 2022! (All photos and video courtesy of Rotarian Nancy Mayer.)
