Speakers:  Past Presidents (l-r): Skip Behrhorst (1996-97), Jane Kelly (2006-07), Steve Wickes (1988-89), Peter Waanders (2010-11)

The entire club engaged in a dynamic conversation about the past and future of our club. Highlights:

Skip: [During my year] "I really wanted to get the club out and doing physical things. We created a Rotary park near the ARC with places where people could picnic and spend time with their friends and families."

Jane: "It felt like the club had never really had a good grip on its financials, so that was an important goal for my year. I also think the international aspect of Rotary was such a powerful thing to keep at the forefront of what we did."

Peter: "I wanted to get the club out of our routine. During my year, we partnered with the International Skiing Fellowship of Rotarians to raise a bunch of money for Challenge Aspen, which was really fun and something new."

Steve: [When asked about his goals for 1988-89] "In the finest tradition of Senate confirmation hearings, I cannot recall."

At the encouragement of Christina King, the group discussion then shifted into more controversial topics. Too many and too controversial to put in print, but it was a great conversation, and one that is sure to inform future Rotary Club presidents.

Guests: Todd Perman (Marty Franz), Anna Zane (Maurice Emmer)
Reminder: Bring a guest! All guests are free during April and May
