Sergeant-at-Arms Jon Kelly shared the following immortal words of Vince Lombardi (who, it turns out sadly, was not):

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious."

Speaker:  Diane Darling of the Roaring Fork Brain Train, an organization that provides educational and social programs for seniors, as well as support for caregivers and family members of people living with dementia.  Diane developed this program as a result of her own family member who developed Early Onset Alzheimer's.  Diane explained the challenges facing people suffering from dementia and the challenges faced by their caregivers.  She also explained how the Roaring Fork Brain Train supports those who suffer from dementia and their caregivers.

Guests:

Lori Small, guest of Bill Small
Vel Engels, guest of John Engels
Keith Elder, guest of Emily Burr
Mike Hoffman, former president (of the club, that is)
Jordan White of Mountain Rescue

-Thank you was received from the homeless shelter for happy bucks donations last month.

-Susan Gomes: March 5 will be Shining Stars, children coping with cancer.  We will serve dinner at the Inn at Aspen

-President Craig asked members to turn in any Rotary flags they have so they can be displayed at future meetings.

-Any members who have served in the Peace Corps should submit stories about their experiences, as the Peace Corps is seeking stories about Rotary and the Peace Corps.

-Robyn Smith explained the Create Mentorship Aspen program for young professionals.  The purpose is to enable bright young people to create and grow businesses.  Our club made a seed money donation to jump start the program, which serves dozens of pairs of experienced business mentors and aspiring young professionals and entrepreneurs.  The program is ably led by executive director Julie Engels, daughter in law of John and Vel Engels.

Jim De Francia won the raffle.  Invite Jim to dinner and ask him to pick up the check.
