This year Rotary Club of Aspen held its primary annual fundraiser event, “The Flight of the Ducks 2022,” in lieu of the traditional Ducky Derby. It was held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Rio Grande Park and was a blast!
The Flight continued to honor our club's traditional goals of supporting college scholarships, community organizations and international projects.
A fun day in the park was had by all--featuring youth group activities, games, food and music!
Due to threatening weather, before 2:22 pm, numbered yellow duckies were launched out of a firetruck, and local kids pulled the winning duck numbers for three lucky people to win a cash prize of $5,000, $1,000 and $500.
Throughout the day, local youth organizations held games and other surprise activities for the kids in the park. And we capped off the day with our online auction with great items supplied by local organizations! Thank you!
