Steve Wickes, Editor-of-the-month

Thursday, October 6, 2016

Speaker:  Allison Daily, Executive Director, Pathfinders. While Pathfinders was originally founded to address the needs of cancer patients, caregivers and their families, the program has expanded to offer support around all forms of grief and loss as well. The Roaring Fork Valley experiences many losses each year and these impact our lives deeply. With their Grief Support, Pathfinder's counselors offer a safe place for loved ones to grieve, process, and hopefully come to a place of honoring the one they lost.

Allison also explained the "Pathfinders Angels" program. This is a special team of volunteers whose goal is to enhance the quality-of-life of anyone who is permanently or temporarily debilitated by an illness, accident, or advancing age. She also spoke proudly of Aspen High School students who have formed their own group of Pathfinders Angels.

Guests: No guests, no visiting Rotarians! Must be a snowy off-season Thursday morning!
